MAURICE ROBERSON
Inspired by heavyweight greats like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes and Riddick Bowe, at age 17, Maurice Roberson walked into his first boxing gym. After just a few months of training, Maurice took his "slugger" fighting style into the amateur fighting ring and has fought in the Golden Gloves as well as in the Ring of Fire in the San Francisco Bay Area.
While pursuing his boxing career, he was also working hard to earn his college degree from New College California. In 2008 he earned his Masters Degree in humanities. After 7 years in the amateur circuit, he earned his professional status and is now actively looking for professional bouts.
When he is not training, he offers his personal training services to the community to assist them in achieving the mental and physical discipline to achieve their fitness goals. His routines are based on his boxing routine which includes cardio, weightlifting, running and jump roping workouts.
Maurice also has a passion for working with at risk youths in underserved communities. He has worked with non-profits and community services in the SF Bay Area, particularly in the Tenderloin District in SF.
On his downtime, Maurice looks for opportunities to disconnect from the world through spending time with family, traveling and looking for places to enjoy nature walks.
